Lesson Programs Tailor Made for All Needs

The study of music is an extremely rewarding activity.  Not only do students recieve the benefit of the pure joy of making music, they learn skills that are applicable to all areas of life.  Working on a difficult piece or musical skill and achieving one's goals can foster a much stronger sense of self confidence.  Balancing goal oriented practice time with other activities in life teaches time management skills.  Improvisation and understanding music theory develops critical thinking and problem solving skills.  Below you will find a basic outline of topics covered at specific points in a students development.  These lesson programs are not mutually exclusive, and there is a natural blending from one category into another.   It gives an idea of where the focus is at a particular time. Every student is a individual, and the curriculum is designed around the student's strengths and weaknesses.
